These three well-known local musicians have been making music together for longer than they can remember and that shows in the intuitive way they work together. G is Graham Jones, a wonderful double bass player with a deep resonant sound that gives you butterflies, and a beautiful strong rhythm. P is Pete Moxley, a fluent, melodic keyboard player with great facility and gripping harmony. S is Steve Salfield, renowned on saxophone, mostly tenor but sometimes soprano and alto. His sound moves from soft and silky to firm and lively, beautiful melodies and moving tone characterise his playing. Together GPS play some well-known jazz standards and through improvisation bring their own interpretation. Well worth hearing.
This is a pay on the door event (£5 members & £7 non-members) and starts at 8.15pm.
